We Believe

Last Night the girls and I went with Michelle Nate and kids to the Polar Express in Heber where you ride the train to the North Pole and see Santa have Hot Chocolate and a cookie. The girls were so excited to ride the train and see the North Pole. We sang Christmas Carols, saw Mrs. Santa and Santa Clause we each received a bell and caught elves giggles for cookies. Addison would not get in any pictures with the conductor, chef the elves or by the train. But as soon as Mrs Santa came she wanted to be the only one in the picture she was so funny to watch when Santa came into our car she was waving and going Hi Santa Hi Santa she climb right on his lap and let me take her picture. K'Lee had tons of fun singing and catching the elves giggles and posing for pictures. They were both excited to receive their bell from Santa. As soon as Santa left the girls laid down on the bench and went to sleep until we got home last night. This nice lady carried K'Lee from the train to the car. She was so confused as to how she got in the van. It was so much fun to see the girls excitement and watch them enjoy themselves.

Moments

OK I had a new moments yesterday. After church and dinner we all went down for a nap YES! We received a phone call from a friend saying something was happening in our ward so We got up looked outside. There was a cop car at TJ grandparents house TJ grabbed shoes and left I was watching wondering and watching for someone to come tell me what was going on. TJ came home looked kinda shell shocked and said that grandpa had died from falling down some celler stairs. I looked and said he's not suppose to go down there but grandpa has a mind of his own he said find someone for the girls and come down. I called my mom and then proceed to get ready to walk over. The moment was this K'Lee looked at me and said mom it's ok Jesus is taking care of grandpa and someday we will get to see him again ok thats when I was so grateful for the gospel and the teaching of it. She is such a comfort for me. Even when I think she's not listening she is and it is actually sticking in that little girls head. I know we will miss him but at the same time a comfort to know that he is ok and I have K'Lee to remind me of that.

Family Update

We have been a busy little family. Starting with K'Lee she is loving preschool and playing with the boys I have asked her why she plays with the boys and she just says they are more fun then the girls. She is loving the learning and comes home telling me about all the stuff she has learned and then proceeds to ask when does she go to real school. She is also loving dance she has a couple of friends in there and are dancing to some fun music. She is also doing another duet this year we have just picked out the music what a task that was now on to learning the dance. Addison is loving that she gets to go to dance and learn all new things something for just her to do and she loves that a couple of weeks ago the teacher was sick and called to cancel. We were already ready so when I told her that the teacher was sick she sat by the door and cried for a little bit I felt so bad so I did my own dance class at home. It was fun to watch K'Lee be the little teacher and show Addison some new dance moves. I love how they interact with each other and patience K'Lee is with Addison in helping her with things. Addison is a pro at Chasse and love to do them up and down the hall. The girls have bunk beds and love them K'Lee is sleeping now all night Addison not so much but I think that it's due to a cold and she can't breath very good right now. At least that is what I hope it is.I promise there will be picture soon.

quick thought

I have been doing a lot of cleaning and catching up in my life. As I have been doing this I have had many weird thoughts and ideas popping into my head. Poor TJ has listened to these and just responds to them to make me happy. But I wanted to share this one I was washing down the walls in the girls playroom and I thought this:
Five things you need as a mom.
Mr. Clean magic eraser (writing on the wall)
ear plugs (so you keep you sanity when there is a running game being played that involves lots of screaming
play dough (you just can't think of anything else to entertain them with)
hiding place ( you place to keep your sanity mine the bath tub yes I hide in there for a few minutes)
grass ( the smell just calms you and kids love grass fights gives them the giggles)
I know they are weird but I have reasons for all of them.

Potty Trained

It's official Addison is now potty trained. During this wonderful hectic summer Addison decided to go potty in the big girl potty. I was not ready for this but she had other plans she has done awesome in telling me when she needs to go and holding it when we are driving somewhere. This week we have eliminated the sippy cup drink in the middle of the night and she has remained dry the last week. What a amazing little girl I have

Dance Girl

K'Lee was able to parcipate in a dance camp this summer at the dance camp they were given a bag of some really fun stuff. It's from a company called delectable we were given a sugar scrub, body butter and lip gloss they are really good. The guy there who was promoting the stuff took pictures of girls at the camp K'Lee and her friend Abby had their picture taken. It's been posted on the website if you would like to see it. Cooking/ memories

I love to cook and try new things with being so busy this last little while I have not been able to enjoy trying new recipes. My parents and I have shared a garden this year which has been fun K'Lee loved watching the plants come up and now picking the veggies and fruit. So I have been finding recipes and ways to bottle things so that our food storage can grow. When we were planting the garden my mom had this huge plant in the corner I asked her what it was she smiled and said Rhubarb the memories it brought back from us kids picking it at grandma bensons and eating it. I loved her Strawberry Rhubarb pie with ice cream it was always a treat to eat. So I was on a quest to find a recipe. All the recipes I found took forever to make and I was having a hard time finding time to make them I found this recipe and made it. It's not the same at pie but it's still really yummy I was going to take pictures but they are all gone.
Strawberry Rhubarb Squares

Crust and Topping
1 Cup Butter or margarine softened
1 Cup packed Brown Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla
2 cups of Flour
1 1/2 Cup quick cooking oats
2/3 cup chopped nuts
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
mix this together until crumbly reserve 2 cups for the top and press the remaining into a 15x10x1 inch pan

Filling
2 Cups Granulated Sugar
2/3 cups Flour
2 Tbsp milk
4 eggs
4 cups sliced strawberries (2 pints) I cut mine into 4th
4 cups sliced rhubarb (8 stalks)
mix into a large bowl I just used a whisk to stir I then fol ed in the strawberries and rhubarb spoon onto the crust and then sprinkle the reserved crumbly mixture.

bake at 375 for 40 to 50 minutes until the top is golden brown and filling is set. cool slightly and served with ice cream or whipped cream. store the rest in the refrigerator covered.
Sorry no pictures but they were yummy.

Naughty Addison

Well a couple of days ago when Amy and I where home and watching TV we realized that we hadn't heard from Addison in a while. She is normally noisy when she plays, but she wasn't this night.

As you can see why.

That was real fun to cleanup, but hey she has the softest skin in town.

Back to Preschool

Well K'Lee is back to school for 1 more year. I can't believe they held her back. huh.

Just kidding.

She is turning 5 on Sept. 12th but we decided to let her do preschool one more year so when she is older she can date when she is a sophomore.

I haven't really talked to her about if she liked it, but here is a picture of getting ready on her first day back.

K'Lee Soccer

Friday was K'Lee's first soccer game, and I must tell you it was FUNNY!!!!

I have never seen such chaos. I have seen more organized riots in 3rd world countries.

It was really fun to watch her out there though.

As soon as she got there she pee'ed her pants. This is odd because she hasn't done that in several years. We think that the excitement / nervousness coupled with her drinking powerade on the way to the game like crazy made for a disaster.

She seemed to have lots of fun, and only picked up the ball once, instead of kicking it. She really doesn't like soccer because you can't touch the ball with her hands.

Maybe next time she can play goalie and really get confused when we tell her to grab the ball if it comes close to the net.

Clear Things Up.

That is K'Lee's 4 wheeler and I was checking to make sure it was safe. I will admit that it was very fun to drive around. K'Lee wasn't a fan of me driving it but I think it's a mom's job to have fun on kids toys to.

Labor Day Camping

For Labor Day weekend we went camping around here. It was fun, but DIRTY!!!!.. dusty and dry.

The bee's where out in full force also, I think everybody was stung at least once. Me being the first within about 10 minutes of arriving.

The kids had tons of fun, but K'Lee was bummed out because Amy wouldn't share her new four-wheeler and drove it all over.

On Sunday afternoon the rain came and at least dropped the temperature and caused the bee's to retreat. But after a few hours of non-stop rain, we where worried we wouldn't be able to get out of our camping spot due to ruts in the road. So we packed up in a hurry and got out of there.

In all it was a fun weekend.

Addison's New Friend

Addison found a new friend today while me and K'Lee where taking a nap.

It turns out there is someone in the fireplace that Addison enjoys talking to.

See the video for evidence.

Amy captured the video on this one.

K'Lee & Addison's New Power Sports

K'Lee got a new four-wheeler this weekend and she is a crazy driver (just like her mother).

After a short 10 minute lesson on how to operate the four-wheeler and drive it safely, it was all tossed out the window when she first took off on her ride.

Good thing we have a remote that can shut off the four-wheeler remotely when she gets going to fast.

Because K'Lee got a new one (Gas) this means that Addison gets her old one, the Dora electric one.

They have been having fun on them. Will be interesting to see them on them when we go camping next weekend.

Camping at Downata Hot Springs

This weekend we went camping at Downata Hot Springs, just us Burb's.

It was really fun we swam, and watched DVD's in the trailer. It was a good warm up for our longer camping trip this coming weekend.

We where all ready to go to bed after a long day of swimming that is for sure.

K'Lee and Addison loved going down the kiddie slide, and Amy and I enjoyed the bigger slide.

Amy went down the big slide also, I wasn't up for a long wait for a short ride.

Busy

I am so sorry for having no posts and pictures there are many reasons for this probualy not good ones bur very busy. I have just finished the Wing reunion and then the 24th of July party. I was busy with the rodeo and now I just finished up Girls Camp. With all this going on my camera that I use has been broken thank goodness it was not the nice expensive one, I don't trust myself with that one and little kids who want to use it. I think I will wait until after K'Lee's Birthday before looking for a camera. ( K'Lee is getting one) maybe she will leave mine alone. I hope now I can relax little and get the house and life back it a normal routine.

Friday TJ sounds good to me Amy Nicole graduates from BYUI that night well I kept thinking that's no fun for a birthday so I called mom in law told her come tonight we'll have pie and ice cream at 7:30 I will make it work as I was trying to think how I was going to fit it Melanie who was helping me with the practice run called and asked how the stress level was today I was well it manageable I haven't cried yet or pulled my hair out. She said that she was wondering if we could do the practice run on t-shirts on Wednesday instead of today I said that would be great. Took my dad's boat out to burn some gas out of it yesterday and while we where running around we decided to try and catch a fish. K'Lee pulled in this nice Large Mouth Bass on the first cast.

Beginners luck.
